storytelling & impact

Jamie is the Director of Impact and Storytelling at Evoke Media. In this role, she spearheads partnerships with creatives who are reaching new audiences through stories about gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and more. A subsidiary of the Sabrina Merage Foundation, Evoke Media is committed to working with teams that have a passion and vision for social impact. Recent projects include the Sundance award-winning SUGARCANE, the #1 Apple Podcast BLIND PLEA, and CREEDE, U.S.A., a forthcoming documentary directed by Kahane Cooperman. Jamie has a unique ability to create and find films, podcasts, and other creative media that explore complex social issues with curiosity and nuance. Additionally, Jamie is the founder of That's What She Said, a live storytelling project. Her 2019 TEDx talk, 'We're all a little bit sexist. Now what?' breaks down the gender credibility gap and the role all of us play in perpetuating or dismantling sexism.

Geovana Oliveira

project coordinator

Geovana is the Project Coordinator at Evoke Media, where she supports research, marketing, design, and project management. Her fascination with film and media began at a young age when a portion of Clint Eastwood’s SULLY was filmed behind her childhood home in Atlanta, Georgia. For the few days they spent filming, Geovana would rush to set after school, spending hours observing the movement of the cameras and crew. That behind-the-scenes glimpse sparked a deep curiosity about storytelling and its power to bring people together.

This passion led her to pursue a degree in Sport & Entertainment Management at the University of South Carolina, where she explored how media shapes the connection between athletes, audiences, and events. Wanting to dive even deeper, she began a master’s degree in Emerging Media through the University of Georgia. Now, she channels her love for storytelling into intentional, creative work that brings Evoke’s values to life. Geovana aims to turn ideas into experiences that spark connection and inspire positive change.
